Your First Visit
At your first visit to our office, our dentist will conduct a dental exam. The purpose of the exam is to review the status of your current oral health and to resolve any possible dental problems before the treatment. Once an examination has been conducted, our dentist will take impressions of your teeth. These impressions will be used to make your custom-made Invisalign aligners. This alignment method is not suitable for children or patients with severe dental or sensitivity issues.
The duration of Invisalign all depends on the severity of your case. On average, the process usually lasts between 12 to 15 months.
Easy to Maintain
Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign aligners are easy to clean. Our dentist will suggest cleaning them as often as you clean your teeth. To complete this process, you can simply run them under warm water several times a day.
No Harmful Toxins
A fundamental reason why patients have started to opt for Invisalign is that the aligners are created from BPA-free plastic. This features means that they don't contain any plasticizers or other dangerous toxins that can be released into your mouth.
Invisalign Is Transparent
Another reason many of our patients choose Invisalign is due to its transparency. The aligners consist of medical grade plastic components, allowing Invisalign to be discreet. Although they are transparent, they will still be slightly noticeable to someone in close proximity to your teeth.
Invisalign Is Removable
Invisalign aligners are the only alternative to traditional braces that can be removed at your convenience. Although our dentist will recommend wearing them as much as possible, it is nice to have the option to remove them for a special event or merely for the purpose of eating.
Once you have completed your Invisalign treatment, our dentist will suggest wearing a retainer. The purpose of this device is to prevent your teeth from shifting into the position they were in before your alignment treatment.
