David Silverstein, DDS
To make a real difference in someone's life by giving him or her a smile that looks and feels great in a kind and gentle setting.
Dr. Silverstein was attracted to dentistry because it allows him to have a positive impact on others' lives through artistry and service. He enjoys helping people overcome their dental fears, and he seeks to treat his patients with compassion and tenderness. His favorite quote about dentistry is, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." Dr. Silverstein aims to create a comfortable atmosphere in which he provides patients with comprehensive oral healthcare. David values the opportunity to help everyone get the smile they have always wanted and show them how pleasant a dental experience can be!
Dr. Silverstein attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he enjoyed four years on the rowing team and earned two degrees in neuroscience and biology. After discovering his passion for dentistry, Dr. Silverstein graduated from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri, with honors in oral surgery. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Truman Medical Center, also located in Kansas City.
Dr. Silverstein is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Missouri Dental Association, American Dental Association and Greater Kansas City Dental Society.
Life & Hobbies
Dr. Silverstein currently lives in Lee's Summit with his wife and their black Labrador, Lady. When he isn't practicing dentistry, Dr. Silverstein can be found around the barbeque grill, pulling weeds in the garden, or fishing on the lake. He is in service with the Missouri Boys State Program, and he also enjoys music, sailing, woodworking, cooking, and DIY projects.
